Thank you so much to Emma at NotJustTired.Com for nominating me in this three-day quote challenge! I love quotes. Life is about learning; quotes carried through time share wisdom and experiences that can be great life lessons. The most difficult part of this challenge is narrowing down to just three quotes and three different bloggers. (I’m going to break the rules (I know naughty, naughty) and post all three here today. It’s less a rule breaking thing and more of a self-compassion thing. Posting three days in a row is more energy than I have right now.)
– Thank the person who nominated you.
– Post a quote for three consecutive days (1 quote for each day).
– Share why this quote appeals so much to you.
– Nominate three different bloggers for each day.
Life is not a dress rehearsal.
This quote stopped me in my tracks the first time I heard it. It was before becoming ill and I’d been working, homeschooling, and pushing most everything else aside. It reminded me to stop and enjoy each day instead of waiting until everything else was done. Now it reminds me to enjoy each day, or find the joy in each day. Stop waiting until I’m better, and be present in each moment because this is life…right now.
Being happy is a very personal thing and it really has nothing to do with anyone else.
What a great lesson. Not only is it empowering when you take responsibility for your own happiness, but you begin to realize that the happiness you can achieve on your own is much more satisfying…at least that’s my experience.
If only our eyes saw souls instead of bodies how very different our ideals of beauty would be.
Love, love, love this one! People are the sum of their experiences and what you see is not always telling of those experiences. Everyone has a story to tell, regardless of what they look like. Beauty radiates from the inside out, from people’s eyes and actions. I’ve found that the more life experiences people have the more beauty they have to share.
I’d like to nominate the following three people in alpha order, but my apologies if you have already been nominated, and if you don’t feel like taking part, please don’t give it a second thought! 🙂
