Honey is my Happy Place

Well hello! We meet again. 😊 Thank you for stopping by. Wishing I had something to share with you, tea, or exciting updates, but really, I’m rather depleted. Maybe it’s because I’m out of honey. You see, I love sweets, and I try my absolute hardest not to eat refined sugar these days, but I do have organic raw honey in my tea daily, and that really is, if I’m to be totally honest, one of the highlights of most of my days. Don’t worry, honey will be delivered today between 1-3 and all will be right in my little corner of the world. But for now, I sit here looking like Eeyore, drinking unsweetened tea, reminiscing on the good times of yesterday, when I had honey. 😉

Truthfully, I just really don’t have much of anything to say today. I’m still making my way back up to baseline (baseline is a chronic illness term for ‘as good as it gets right now’). It’s rather cloudy and cold outside (57F but still, we have no furnace so it’s chilly inside too). Given that I’m totally rambling, for gosh sakes I’m talking about the weather 😊, and I’m not going to go on and on about nothing, I’ll wrap this up, for your sake and mine.

Next week will be better I hope. Wishing you a week that brings you smiles in ways you didn’t anticipate. More doodles as I follow along with World Watercolor Group, as well as Char’s Chronically Hopeful 52-week project. Char’s challenge is weekly so once a week I’m combining the two prompts. It’s been fun! Unlike the watercolor challenge Char’s challenge includes all types of arts and crafts. If you are feeling like joining in on either please do, all skill levels are welcome, and they are both on WP, IG, and FB.

  1. Lovely painting, Mishka. I’m sorry you’re without heating. That’s really rough. We have been there & I know it’s not easy. I hope your furnace can be fixed soonest.💛

I admit having sugar in my diet. In ginger oat biscuits & chocolate. My youngsters tell me not to feel guilty, I need to have some highlights!😅And I’m sticking with them, lol! Honey is lovely, but oddly can make me wheeze. So chocolate it is!😁 Hope you have a restful day.💙xxx

    1. Thank you for your compassion! 🌸 Trust me if sugar didn’t send my pain levels through the roof I’d be eating it because I agree with your youngest! I do sneak in chocolate but the pain-price is just not worth it most of the time.

I’m edging my way back to baseline, slow going but baby steps. 💪 Hoping today has been kind to you! 💙

      1. I get you, Mishka. That must be awful. I have similar with white bread. I’d eat honey if it didn’t make we wheeze. As an asthmatic it’s not ideal!😁 💕

We all just do what we can to not rock the ME boat. Hope you’re days are beginning to improve. Gentle hugs from here.💙🌸🌺

  2. Aw I’m sorry things haven’t been better, Mishka. But such beautiful art as always. The birdies are so sweet and the butterfly is incredibly well depicted, so bold and powerful against the background. I really do hope you can get a little closer still to your baseline asap. Rest up and enjoy that honey!

      1. Aw no, I’m sorry you’ve had problems with it. Thanks for letting me know Mishka, and I’m glad you liked the post! I know you can only comment directly through the blog, and not via the WP reader. Could I ask what happens when you try to comment? I’ll see if I can fix it (or, more accurately, I’ll ask Mr Google what I can do to fix it 😉)
Stay warm, the weather is miserable here too so just keep thinking about how spring is around the corner, hopefully..! xxxxx

  3. I hope your honey came today Mishka. The little things can mean so much, can’t they? I’m sorry you’re having a rough time right now. I hope, as Can said, that you can get a little closer to your baseline soon. I love your Spring-y looking paintings! We have lots of bluebirds around here and you’ve done such a great job of painting yours. Sending gentle hugs!
