The Season of Giving

I just wanted to pop in and say hi, share a thought, and post some of my more recent doodles. So hi :). If you’re someone who still sends holiday cards and you’re also feeling concerned with how many people are being negatively impacted by the pandemic, especially with regard to hunger and shelter, might I suggest buying holiday cards that donate proceeds to help with things like hunger and/or shelter, as well as a wide variety of other things. I can’t recommend a specific charity but I have come across a couple blogs with recommendations (I have not vetted these):

Hopefully each card sent will touch another person with goodness, as well as the recipient with kindness.

I was going to end here but I thought I’d give a tiny health update. Last month brought a new diagnosis but further testing is needed before the extent is determined so I’ll go more into that some other time. Other than that things seem to be holding steady at my new 2020 baseline, which is a decline since 2019, but I’m still thankful it’s not worse than it is. I’m still not sure when my health will allow me back to regular blogging, but hopefully it’ll be in the New Year. Wishing you a peaceful holiday season. Take good care. 🤍

  1. That’s a great suggestion on charity Christmas cards. I’ve got some for this year, cute designs that can make a positive difference with the proceeds 🙂

I’m sorry you’ve got another possible diagnosis weighing over you. I’m not sure if it’s a definite or not, but it sounds like more tests and info is needed to get a grip on what’s going on. I can’t say “I hope it’s nothing too serious” because it’s all serious, it’s all hard to deal with when you’ve already got other health issues to contend with. I Instead I’ll just say I’m glad your holding steady on the baseline and I hope you can continue doodling, just popping by here when you want to/are able to, and focusing on being gentle with yourself. Sending my very best wishes, Mishka  ♥

    1. Thank you, Caz 🌺 I’m still on the hunt! Seems like every time I find a card and foundation I like the charity is questionable. 🤨 Hopefully today will be the day😁

Thank you for your support and compassion. It’s frustrating because I had been telling doctors for three or more years about the pain but they kept brushing it under the rug. I did receive authorization to see new specialist so hopefully they’ll be able to get me in, at least for testing, soon. Our area had their lock down level increased today so time will tell.

Wishing you a peaceful holiday season. Hoping you and your family are doing best as possible. 🤍

  2. All the best to you, Mishka, as you learn more about your diagnosis, and all good wishes for a lovely holiday season. I know it’s hard when you don’t feel well, but I pray you have some good times of love and delight. 💖
